Dear Church Family,
You are family for us in the best way. We have
been supported by your care and heartfelt prayers. Your cards and
letters are the high point of Ken's day. We have mail time at 8:30
p.m. and he looks forward to it all day. Although he can't talk, he
enjoys short visits. He likes listening to the comings and goings of
you, the church and your families. Sometimes he is sedated and can
only acknowledge a visitor, but other times he is animated and
communicative with his eyes.
Your gift for parking and meals is much appreciated
and was a surprise for both of us.
Ken is far from being "out of the woods," but every
day brings a small step of progress. We are learning patience and
living in the moment, and appreciating the many gifts we have -- and all
of you we count as our greatest gift.
Love,
Janet
