Thank You, FPC
I wanted to tell everyone how much I
appreciated the service of Godspeed and reception. It is comforting to
know that your prayers and thoughts are with me and Matt as we begin the
next step of our journey together. I did want to take a moment to thank
those of you who shepherded me through my college years.
To Cynthia and the Choir
-
Thank you for embracing me and giving me a place in the choir (even though
we all knew that I was totally faking my way through the music!). If it
was not for your encouragement I would not be able to call FPC home.
To Selena, Mary, Brenda and the College
Connection – Thank you for dinner! It was so nice to have a hot meal and
time to relax and learn from each other. Thank you for silly games and
exciting trips and Bible Study and quiet contemplation.
To Meredith and Parent’s Day Out
- Thank you for
showing me how to be flexible and fun while teaching! I have grown as a
teacher because of my experiences with you.
To Max and Jack and the children of the
church – Thank you for teaching me the meaning of patience and the
importance of play. Thank you for hugs and smiles and the best greetings I
could ever ask for!
To Ken Jack – Thank you for challenging me
with the Youth position. Without your encouragement, I would not have been
in a position to be blessed by our youth program.
To Doug and the Youth – Thank you for lock
-ins
and sleep deprivation. Thank you for marshmellow wars, wipeouts over the
rapids and energizers. You have been a blessing to me and I feel
privileged to have served you. You all are excellent examples of Christ’s
love in our church and in our community and I am proud of you. You have
inspired me to expect excellence from the teens I encounter. (PS-
Thanks to Courtney I now know how to mow the lawn!)
To The Swinney’s and Ms. Connie
- Thank you for your
constant encouragement. It always came when I needed it most.
To Shannon and Danielle – I always looked
forward to talking with you at PDO and in the Nursery. I am so privileged
to have watched your babies grow. Thanks for showing me that mom’s can be
cool too!
To the congregation – Thank you for adopting
me and helping me to know Christ and keep my priorities straight in
college. Now is my chance to go out and make Him known.
I love you all. May the Lord bless you and
keep you and make His face to shine upon you.
