    Vacation Bible School 2009

The week of Vacation Bible School was a huge success.  If you missed out on the fun, then plan to be a part of things next year when Danielle Tuttle will be our Director.

During the week, we had the privilege to minister to over 53 children.  These children came from our church family, our extended church family, and children from the community.  During the week the children learned the "Beach Be-Attitudes" of: be obedient, be kind, be bold, be forgiving, and simply and most importantly- BELIEVE.

Over 40 teen and adult volunteers helped the children rotate through learning centers of  bible stories, recreation, music, snack time, and crafts.  The children learned catchy songs that reinforced each day's scripture and message.  On Tuesday, we had a visit from the Rita B. Huff animal shelter.  Children learned important facts about being kind to animals, and how to prepare our pets for hurricane evacuation, while they got to pet a live puppy, kitten, and rabbit.  Children took home crafts and daily souvenirs of their lessons, as well as a CD to sing along to the songs from the week.

Don Meyers filmed our final day's activities for a video presentation for Pastor Ken.  It was paramount to share with Ken the success he shares with us in our "2009 Beach Party: Surfin' Through the Scriptures."
